A few months of work has led me here. This game started out as a Super Mario fangame (as you can see). I decided on making this an indie called Headphone Holidays.

I'll give more information when I update this post later on, for now enjoy the videos:



This game only uses placeholder art, sounds and music for now, that will change soon.

I tried the demo. I like the concept very much. I've always wanted to see more fangames where Mario plays different sports and does other things that break out of the mold of standard power-ups.

In the first level, the overhanging blocks make it very hard to get over the first wall. I'd add a couple more blocks on the lower platforms so it's easier to clear the wall.

I won't say much about the graphics since most of them are obviously placeholders. The hand-drawn art for the title screen is a neat idea, although there's not a lot of contrast between the text and the background.

Thanks Vinny. I' still wondering if I should continue it or not. Been hung up making another Mario style game recently.

I'd love to see this project get completed. If you're making good progress on this, I say keep working on it. If you're at a slow point, you could always take a break and work on something else for a while.

It just takes me sooooo long to program anything. If have to make a design document for this to know where this is going and speed up development.

Yeah I can edit all the other posts fine.

I looked in the database and didn't see anything unusual that should prevent you from editing the original post. I saw an old draft edit, but that shouldn't be a problem. Maybe users can't edit a post after an admin has edited a post? If that's the case, I could modify the "edited by" field at the database level.
