Super Mario Journey is a Mario fan game I'm currently trying to make where you get to play as Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi (The latter 2 being unlockable characters). Each character will have their own unique abilities, like in Mario 2 and 3D world, and special ability that can be made with the press of a button (IE Wario and his charge attack). The game itself will follow a similar formula to most other Mario games. The Art-style will look as if it were drawn as a modern cartoon, with 3d sprites with a 2d look to them. I am currently working on this game by myself and would really appreciate any suggestions. If you want to help and team up with me to help make this game possible, send me a private message and I'll write back as soon as possible. See you next time!
Started:
-Spritework
Ideas:
-Area themes (Industrial/Factory, Wild Western, Tribal Village, Crystal Mountains, An area I'd like to call "Strange and Random")
-Bosses (Mega Koopa, Pathmaster, Ted Toad [More on why Mario's battling a toad in the game], Chap Chap)
-Items and blocks (Quick boots, Slow Down Block, Grav-swap Block, Mario Builder Hammer, Magma Mushroom)
*Update: 2/21/17*
I understand it's been a while and I'm sorry. I came to terms with the fact that I can't add textures in blender (No matter how hard I try), so I'll be using the Hello Mario Engine for Gamemaker with custom 2d sprites. I'm actually a little disappointed I couldn't figure it out. Don't fret though, I'll try to give an idea of the artstyle soon. Thanks for the patience.
