The last few days have been pretty busy with work and "Real Life" issues, but I finally got a chance to play the latest demo. You might have updated these issues since then, but here are some things I noticed while playing the March 6 build:
Hub Level
World 1-1
World 1-2
World 1-3
All Levels
Hub Level
- Mario should stop moving when he opens a door.
- You should add a sound effect when you enter a painting.
World 1-1
- The pipes in the background look very similar to the pipes in the foreground. Consider making the background pipes smaller or a paler shade of green.
- I'd suggest playing a sound when the Venus Firetrap spits a fireball - these fireballs are pretty fast.
World 1-2
- Super Mario seems to be missing a sprite when he jumps out of the water.
- The blind jump isn't good level design, especially if this is supposed to be the second level in the game. I lost a few lives on that section.
World 1-3
- If you run to the left edge of the screen, you'll get stuck because of the wind.
- The music should stop playing as soon as you hit the goal.
All Levels
- Why are Piranha Plants resistant to fireballs?
- You might want to play a sound when an enemy is defeated using a fireball.
