Goomba AI is pretty solid now. I love how much logic is required to make an AI seem stupid.

I don't play many fangame... but I might play this one.
this is a minor thing but his jump speed and run speed look at odds w each other
e: to clarify, the jump looks super fast compared to his run, makes it look like hes intentionally running slowly? since he clearly has the strength to launch himself up at high speeds

Very well done! Keep up the great work! I still like "The Depths of Wario" better, though.

So I've basically reached the point where I can't continue to develop this game without access to the full version of GMS2. Normally I'd just buy it, but I'm almost totally out of work right now and I'm trying to stay afloat. So if anyone cares enough about this concept enough to help fund it, you can donate here: https://ko-fi.com/spritanium

@Spritanium is this even legal?
05-13-2018, 06:34 PM
It's not any more illegal than fangames are in the first place. Not like I'm charging for the game. I just actually can't afford game maker lol

The "Dry Dry Diverticuli" name cracks me up. A Western-style remix of the Luigi's Mansion music is a pretty clever idea, too.
Course clear! You got a card.

Perfectly executed, friend.

I think that sawsynth you're using as a bass will get tiring. It's in every song you've shown and it's rather loud and ear-piercing. It works well for the underground remix, but I think the desert theme should have an electric bass -like instrument instead.
signatures are hard pls listen to music thxbye

This is something I considered, but on the other hand I sort of like the mixing of styles as well as the sense of consistency between tracks. You do have a point though, so I'd like to get some more opinions on this. If it's ear-piercing I wonder if a low pass filter would help.

Consistency is good and all, but I think you should consider using leitmotifs instead for that. Or even a less noticeable synth: having something as loud and overpresent as that synth in every song will make the soundtrack seem dull and repetitive. signatures are hard pls listen to music thxbye

Here's an extended version with a different bass instrument: https://soundcloud.com/keith-pickering/s...erticuli-1

Yeah, that works way better.

Do you think the original bass works well for the other tracks? The desert song was the only one where it felt a little out of place for me
