spritecomp #9 2017; new 3d ally!

hi everyone! great to be back!
congrats to donnie for winning the last comp.
this theme is to create a new ally for a 3d mario game (paper mario will not count!!!).

rules:

1. you have to make a mario standing sprite to go with it (because, this might be the new cappy!).

2. DO NOT SPRITE AN EXISTING ALLY.

3. you can go as far as you want for ideas, just not too bizarre.

well, that's it! you have two weeks, until the 19th december, to finish your sprites!

So would creating a paper Mario-like ally not be allowed? Do you mean something more along the lines of Fludd and cappy?

so, you're supposed to come up with a new ally that sorta plonks itself onto mario's cap/back/wherever, like fludd, baby luma, or cappy.
as for the 3d part, it means we want something for a 3d mario game, NOT a paper mario game.

yes, you can use those styles, but the mario sprite has to be custom, since the sprite comp rules state that edits are forbidden.

as long as the entry sprite is made from scratch, then it's fine, you may use it as inspiration.

Got home a couple hours ago and decided to make something.

I call it Peppal (Pep-Pal). Basically, it can switch between two modes; Spicy Pepper Mode which grants Mario fire attributes with his normal moves, like explosive wall jumps that give him more distance, and Chilly Pepper Mode, which gives Mario ice abilities, like upgrading his rolling skill by turning him into a snowball, letting him plow into enemies.

Introducing: Smashington, the Mecha-Hammer!
Once used as a secret weapon for the Bowser army to crush spaghetti-loving mushrooms, Mario inherited it by an unknown long-lost relative. Or are they even a relative, or are they even unknown? Who knows!

Anyway, the power of the Mecha-Hammer is Mario can take it apart and reconstruct it into a different things to crush your opponents. Maybe he could be a bulldozer, or a Jack-Hammer, I don't know.

I hope someone can enjoy this.

That handy hand is called "Handy", since he can be able to manipulate anything as if it were some kind of "editor" , and delete any nasty enemies and blow out the obstacles very easily. Nothing moutful. :P

If not, since there are only 5 entries, it should be time for Final Voting. The comp apparently ended about two days ago... Confused

If voting already started, then my vote goes to chaoxys.

@SonicZetrex - I think you made the deadline (if it wasn't extended). According to when you posted your entry (at about 10 PM on Tuesday in my time zone), you seem to be good to go.
