Bait: Ballpark franks

I didn't get a photo of the actual feast, since they got eaten too fast, however I do have a couple recipes to share.

Boil recipe:
2 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp onion powder
2 cups salt
2 tbsp dried oregano
1 tbsp dried thyme
1 tsp cayenne pepper (omit entirely if you want zero heat)

boil live crayfish at a hard rolling boil for 10 minutes, then cut heat and let soak for 30 minutes to get the flavorings into the meat.
I cooked these in an old bayou classic turkey fryer.

butter sauce:
2 sticks butter
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt (omit if using salted butter, or adjust to taste)
1 tbsp parsley (optional, for color)

Instructions: Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add the garlic and simmer gently until fragrant. Do not allow the garlic to brown. Stir in the lemon juice and salt right before serving.

I had some ideas for this, but ultimately I had to drop the wand and spell book. This has been entered into a local competition.
The mask actually articulates, with the jaw moving along with my own. the fingerbones for the necklace came from a wind chime print, while the talisman came from one of the castlevania games apparently.
This took me quite awhile to make, and I'm quite happy with the results!

It all started with this. a dagger we got for my brother made from Selenite. nothing too special, but it's not hard to see that it has fiberoptic properties. All it needs is a stand, and a light source.

This took longer than it really should have, nearly a year went by before we got the stand prepared for the dagger, and a light mounted in the underside.
it's crude, and I was still learning, just as I am now. but the effect you get, just makes it all worth it.

Cut the lights, stick the dagger in the slot, and plug the USB cord into a phone charger. We have, a night light. the diode is all the way at the bottom of this stand, and just shining upwards. this definitely did the trick, and my brother was happy with it. it cycles through the entire spectrum. red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, yellow, and white.
I'm quite proud of this, crude as it is.

So, fast forward to about a week ago. I've learned quite a bit about 3d printing, and, had opted out of joining my family on a camping trip to make sure the house is taken care of.
My family gets back, and I'm handed a balled up newspaper, containing an egg made from selenite, and a wand, also made from selenite... still thinking of what to do with the wand, but...Well I bet you have all already figured out what I planned to do with the egg, if not, you'll see in just a moment.

This was a bit of a challenge, utilizing whatever I had for filament on hand, after a marathon run of prints to get my inventory up for a christmas bazar in december.
I downloaded this model from https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-...land-86281, and gave it a quick inspection. I knew the dimensions on my egg were different, so I did a quick measure with some calipers, and applied the new dimensions to the egg supplied with this model. this gave me the offset percentages to apply to everything to make my egg work.
in this case, X101.83% Y101.83% Z129.72% (Meaning it is actually quite stretched on the vertical axis.) I simply had to apply all this to every piece of the model.
One other adjustment was made...I decided I didn't like the flat bottom on that cloud, so after the scale was made permanent, I took the cloud, reduced it's vertical size by 50% then made a mirror copy. glue those together, and, no more flat bottom on the cloud.

I was charging up the glow in the dark parts with a UV curing light when I got this picture. I didn't expect the trees to light up like this. looks pretty dang cool I think.

And finally, in low light with the glow parts charged. save for the LED, this is completed.
I'll share the final result once I get that installed. (It's expected to be here in a couple of weeks)

This was actually a lot of fun to do, and I'm very much proud of the result here. I hope you all had as much fun looking at all this as I did putting it together.
Let me know what you think!

Hey there. I've been working on a project for a while now, and I figured it's at a stage where I have stuff to share. For those of you who don't know, "KC Mario" is the colloquial term used for an official Mario manga that was published throughout the 90s. People tend to confuse it with Super Mario-Kun, which has no relation to this series. I've heard a lot of weird stuff about the series, but no one has took the time to make a fan translation for it. After waiting a long time, I figured the only way it will ever get done is to do it myself.

So, I present to you, my WIP scanlation of the KC Mario series! So far, I have completed two three chapters one volume out of . . . a lot. Don't expect progress to happen too quickly, as I started sometime earlier this year. I do plan on finishing this in the long-term, though. I should probably give a general content warning to be safe, as Japan has different standards of what is ok for kids than the western world. (Consider this the official disclaimer or whatnot.)

Anyways, here's the link to what's done so far:

Sup, piantas!

I've been really enjoying putting some tracks together for a friend's games recently and was hoping to branch out a bit more! I've found I struggle with finishing any arts stuff if it doesn't really have an express purpose, so consider my friend lucky lol

They gave me the thumbs up to show off a couple of works-in-progress (in various states of being completed, of course) to you peeps. I'd love to both show off what I have and work on some original tracks for any of your games or other projects! I've got a couple of remixes for the games so they're not off limit, but I've also got a small album thingy on the mainsite (under Ave Coo) if that is more your speed

My mate's currently whipping up two games... One's a platformer about Poochy, and I've got two tracks in the bag thus far.

Radish Heights

And the other's a Smash clone with a pretty funny twist that I'm not gonna spoil. A smash clone is like my ideal project, so props to them!

Main Menu

I really like the smash clone theme so far, so it's been fun as to piece it together into other tracks - happy to show off more but just didn't want to spam them all at once!

Yeah, so lemme know what you think and don't be afraid to send me a dm or make a post if you're interested in having a few tracks made for your game. Purely doing this for fun, so it won't cost anything ofc (just gotta make sure y'all know that!)
Cheers!
