Intro
I had an idea very long ago about making my own Mario-themed adventure known as Berry Island. As with many, MANY of my other projects, it went under a "hiatus" if I can even call them that anymore, and has since gone into the dust along with the multitude of other dead projects of mine, never to be revived again.
EXCEPT IT WON'T Sort of
This idea of mine has tried to be revived before, but with little to no success. I can't code my own games, since I've never learned any coding whatsoever, so the most I can do is make the concept and graphics. I've tried so many times to get this, and many other of my projects, off the ground and working, but I end up scrapping it due to laziness or it being "too difficult and/or tedious" for me to work on. Even then, I still want to share this idea with you all to know what your thoughts on it are. Just take note that this is not (And probably will not) be an actual game of sorts, maybe until I can learn to code in the future. Believe me, I've tried before, and coding just isn't my specialty.
Concept Sketches
Many of my ideas come from doodles or sketches I make when I'm bored or inspired. I've probably done more with Berry Island than I have anything else, though that could just be a straight-up lie. I don't really have time to look through every last project I've made just to prove myself wrong.
Anyway, Berry Island had a few interesting details about itself that could differ from any normal Mario game, as it tends to mix in a few elements from Sonic as well. The images are somewhat large, so I'll put them in a spoiler, along with some details about said images.
I'm not exactly sure what made me get the idea for Berry Island, but the least I can say is that I wanted to do something similar to Super Mario World. It was a great game in my eyes, and probably my favorite 2D Super Mario Bros. game of all time. I just wanted to do something with my own characters, at that.
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave me a private message or just reply down below. Again, this won't be an actual game or have any game mechanics of some sort, it's just a fun little idea I never got around to that much.
