Hello Mario Fan Games Galaxy. At the maintime i'm trapped in my crappy desktop that needs 5 minutes to load chrome. So while i'm waiting to get a new one i'm looking for some interesting and enjoyable retro video games and mostly ones that surpass the console's limitations.

What i'm looking for is GBC/GB/NES games; They can be any genre as long as they're actually fun to play. Just post a retro game you like here so people would take a peek at it and/or try it out, you can describe the game along with posting some sceenshots if you can.

I'll start:
Little samson - NES
[+]Spoiler
A platformer game with 4 playable characters and great pixel art.
Shantae - GBC
[+]Spoiler
A famous platformer that greatly uses the gameboy colors' limitations with quite a catchy soundtrack (same composer as shovel knight)
[Image: 300x.jpg][Image: shantae2-1367177362.jpg]
Gimmick! - NES
[+]Spoiler
Platformer with very precise physics and an amazing, unique soundtrack.

Ufouria: The Saga is one that springs to mind. A relatively unknown Metroid-style game on the NES that I remember playing as a kid at a friend's place.  Wasn't released outside PAL regions until the Wii Virtual Console.

Dude you gotta play ADVENTURE ISLAND. it's a beautiful game. Fun to play for sure. You'll die a lot but you'll know how to progress once you die. Really enjoyable.

Never heard of this one. I'll check it out, it looks nice.

I ran by this one out as a kid and got instantly uninterested as i thought it was just another one of those boring NES games, but now that you say that, i'm going to play it.

The Guardian Legend on NES is both a Zelda-like 8-directional explorer and a vertical shooter. You have to get to all the zones, which are shooter segments.

If you're in the mood for an RPG, you can't go wrong with Dragon Quest III for the NES. It's not an obscure game, but if you haven't played it, you might want to check it out. (Also, it'll keep you playing for quite a while.)
Course clear! You got a card.

I can recommend Kyattou Ninden Teyandee for NES. Great platform game based on the anime with the same title Wink
