Dr.Toad: The Doctor is IN is a Dr.Mario game turned action / RPG. It utilizes the Games Factory 1 engine in masterful quality, with delicious high-quality MIDI's and WAV's that'll make you cry tears of delight.
Onto the game: You play as Dr.Toad as you try to rid the cold virus in Mario's body. Similar to Dr.Mario, to defeat a virus, choose a color pill and launch it at said virus to clear them. Viruses get bigger and badder every so often, so you'd better upgrade your gear! To do so, upgrade the 5 stats in the shop: Health, Speed, Wellness, and your two weapons' launching speeds.
Wellness is the only one that's unclear in the game, so EXPLANATION TIME! After a single hit, you accumulate points of Unwellness which is increases damage taken by the amount of health the virus had before you took them down. If the virus has 2 health, you'd take 2 points of damage PLUS 2 points of Unwellness, then on the next hit of a virus with 1 health you'd take (Virus+Unwellness) or 3 damage. You do slowly recover, which is why it's recommended you upgrade early, but it gets expensive. If you managed to get 50 unwellness and hit by a virus with one health, imagine the damage you'd take!
Anyway I hope you enjoy the game. It took 3 weeks to make this (and even survived a corruption)!
