Hello everybody.
My name is Ric aka RicWeb, aka Ric da Goomba, aka Ric da Koopa.
Some oldtimers here might remember me from way back in 2000 to around 2003 when I made some effort in joining in on webhosting en troubleshooting here and there.
I never managed to make a full game but had some side projects.
When 2003 came and went my life did a 360 and I just did'nt have time for MFGG or almost any hobbie what so ever.
I hade several jobs amon having my own graphical design and signing company with my dad, after that the same for a boss for 12 years.
Even had a small arcade cabinet business on the side, so gaming never left my body.
In the recent years I started remembering te joy of having hobbies and got into game collecting and I have a decent collection of NES, SNES, GB and Atari.
About three weeks ago me and buddy were making music with Ai and I began uploading videos with music wich is small success.
When browsing Youtube I came along avideo of AntDude in wich he goes indepth about Mario Fan Games.
And what do you know... there he mentions MFGG, so my curiosity peaked as I did'nt know the site was still active in recent years.
Among the reactions I saw someone saying he was active of MFGG since the early days and was sorry for making the game Yoshi Gone MFGG.
The man in question was DJ Yoshiman
He remembered me after all these years!!!
He reminded me of the fun and strugles we had back then and my curiosity peaked again.
I registered on the site and the forum, searched for my name and found it in the "I Miss" section
But for my biggest reveal..... I found my personal archive with hundred if not a thousand files of MFGG members from around 1999 to 2003.
This includes, full games, demos, spritelibs, music and sounds.
All for the old programs Klik&Play, The Games Factory and Multimedia Fusion.
I will setup either a Windows XP virtual machine to make everything work or use an old computer I have laying around.
Most files are ready to load but the majority are setups for Windows XP.
So I might spam you all in due time with my finds..
DJ Yoshiman thank you for reminding me that great time and hopefully more to come and VinnyVideo already thank you for welcoming me back
