The moment has finally come, on January 16, Nintendo has put out what everyone was waiting for... Donkey Kong Country Returns HD!
Okay, jokes aside, they did unveil a first look at the Nintendo Switch successor:
Yep, looks like they really are calling it Nintendo Switch 2. It's not much different from the original Switch from the looks of it so far, but I'm not surprised that Nintendo is sticking with the handheld-console hybrid model. You know what they say, don't fix what isn't broken. I wonder how that mouse functionality is going to work, though, the Joy-Cons seem a bit uncomfortable in that position. Also, there's a new Mario Kart shown at the end! Not much is seen, but I noticed some of the characters have updated designs. Mario for instance looks a bit more like his N64 counterpart, which I kind of like.
What do you guys think? Are any of you excited for the upcoming system? To tell the truth, I'm not really much of a modern gamer, so it doesn't mean much to me, but I sometimes like keeping up with the news and seeing what's coming out and I thought this reveal was a nice surprise. Do you actually play modern games and systems, or is the MFGG forums full of retro gamers? (Maybe that question needs its own thread...)
