Truth to be told, I did manage to finish a project during the time the Game Jam was running, but I wasn't able to upload it until now. I'm not going to ask for what I made to be considered an entry (that would be nice, though), but I'll post my result here so that people could check it out.

It was actually hard to choose a favorite out of the rom hack entries, but Ancient Shroomba was probably my favorite overall.

That's what it is, a MODIFIED game. Not an original one. Game jams should just be about originality. Having ROM Hacks isn't really fair to me.What's the point of making an original game?

You can do some really unique stuff like Ancient Shroomba did. In any case, had we not allowed rom hacks, we would have only had two entries.
