I found 2 piano midis for the world 8 tracks. How do I save the SMW instruments on top of the track

Make sure you're on the fourth tab - the one that lists all the tracks.

Look under the "Sound File" column, and for each track change the SF2 file to the soundfont file you downloaded.

Once you've applied the soundfont(s) you want, press the Play button and confirm that it's playing correctly.

This is a very high-level view, but I hope this helps.

I've found out that the version of SM16 seen in the dropbox link does not fit in levels or games (max for games is 100MB, SM16 most recent update is 240MB)

the dropbox is not working, how can I compress this further. If it's under 20MB I can put this on the main site as Levels (this is just 17 levels so far). It could also count as a game, as I plan for this to have way more than 50 levels, custom enemies and bosses and lots of foreground and background layers (lots of parallax layers).

This one is not the first boss, this is the miniboss of world 4. This level has a darkness gimmick

I remember seeing him in a few hacks, and he's also in SMBX. Foo is also in 5-2, which is in the demos currently out.
