RE: Super Mario Bros. & The Midas Machine (Formally Superb Demo Sisters & A Midas Thing) - super waluigi - 04-20-2018 Kinda empty since the last few days RE: Super Mario Bros. & The Midas Machine (Formally Superb Demo Sisters & A Midas Thing) - Pedigree - 04-20-2018 Please be patient and don't bump the thread to ask for updates. They will update the thread when they have something new to share. RE: Super Mario Bros. & The Midas Machine (Formally Superb Demo Sisters & A Midas Thing) - super waluigi - 04-20-2018 man, I wasn't asking for updates but for someone to say something RE: Super Mario Bros. & The Midas Machine (Formally Superb Demo Sisters & A Midas Thing) - chaoxys - 04-20-2018 There hasn't been any updates lately because theres not much to say. I've mainly be reorganizing sheets for enemies/NPCs to make it easier for Guinea to add them into the engine. Hopefully this will help speed things up, even if just a tiny bit. You have to keep in mind that I've finished pretty much all of the levels at this point, so theres not going to be much new stuff for me to show, at least, not without risking showing too much. B: "Actually, the books describe him as a guy in overalls with a moustache. Nowhere does it ever specify the color." A: "But in the movie adaption he was wearing red, and ..." B: "Shhh! Some people are trying to pay attention to the plot!" I was noticing the details. Those guys making the blocks down there must be... Well, very strong to actually act as blocks, carrying blocks, other actors and... Wario himself isn't known for being a light guy to start with. ![]() ![]() RE: Super Mario Bros. & The Midas Machine (Formally Superb Demo Sisters & A Midas Thing) - chaoxys - 05-01-2018 (04-23-2018, 10:02 AM)WWpl4y3r Wrote: That looks funny! Wario himself isn't known for being a light guy to start with. They are called Flooriors (Floor warriors). Despite their name being partially derived from the word warrior, they aren't typically enemies (that part of their name comes from how loyal they are to the world of theater). RE: Super Mario Bros. & The Midas Machine (Formally Superb Demo Sisters & A Midas Thing) - Honey Saucer Gengar - 05-02-2018 When is the game gonna be finished? I can't wait for it! RE: Super Mario Bros. & The Midas Machine (Formally Superb Demo Sisters & A Midas Thing) - chaoxys - 05-15-2018 As I believe I said recently, I'm running out of things to show ya'll without dipping into spoiler territory, but I did find one thing I can show, although it's not too exciting. ![]() I'd like to add a bit more bells and whistles in the end, but this is what I have for now. RE: Super Mario Bros. & The Midas Machine (Formally Superb Demo Sisters & A Midas Thing) - GamerInGeorgia - 05-15-2018 What's the max amount of lives? Wario seems to have quite a lot in the above screenshot. Wario seems to have quite a lot in the above screenshot. Honestly, I have no clue. The only reason I have that many is because I'll sometimes make a level that will have a star segment, or koopas or something, and I'll end up getting a few lives, like you normally would while playing a Mario game, but since I'm constantly tweaking and fixing things, I end up playing those sections over and over again, resulting in a massive life profit over time. That and theres the accidental life farm in world 2 that I was playing around with. RE: Super Mario Bros. & The Midas Machine (Formerly Superb Demo Sisters & A Midas Thing) - chaoxys - 05-18-2018 ![]() ![]() I'm not sure if the Rocket Barrel moves too fast, or if my reaction time is just garbage... Anyways, this is a segment from the same level as the previous image. For those wondering why it's not very decorated, it's because this is really fast paced and I wanted minimal distractions for the players. It seems odd as a still image, but when you see just how fast it plays, it makes sense. RE: Super Mario Bros. & The Midas Machine (Formerly Superb Demo Sisters & A Midas Thing) - VinnyVideo - 05-18-2018 If the game is hard for the people making it, it's probably going to be really hard for everyone else. In the most recent screenshot, there's not much contrast between the foreground and the background. I wonder if making the background a bit darker would help. I'd say it's more of a case of, if it's hard for me personally, then the difficulty is about average for everyone else. As for the BG, I was actually a bit worried about that when making it, however, the silver walls maker it really easy to see the proper path while moving up, like, more so than I would have expected. That said, I'll still most likely make it darker (I already have tiles in the engine to do so with). EDIT- There we go, looks better. ![]() ![]() RE: Super Mario Bros. & The Midas Machine (Formerly Superb Demo Sisters & A Midas Thing) - JMan - 05-22-2018 Oh man can't wait to play this again.
