Where Are They Now? - SonicKade2048 - 10-09-2018 I haven't seen much of some of the "old" projects that were shown off here a couple months ago over in Development Showcase, as ones like Spritanium's Super Mario Prostate Exam haven't had updates to the threads for a good few months, it not being bumped since May 23rd. What I want to know is, what are some projects you've seen around the forums (or possibly elsewhere) that haven't any activity for a while, or just completely vanished? One of the things I've not seen updates on for about a month would be VinnyVideo's MFGG Emblem. I asked Vinny to be a spriter for the game, and he agreed for me to be one, but I never got a chance to know what I was spriting (unless I was supposed to figure it out/make something on my own without help; in which case, whoops) for said game. I'm not sure what Vinny's doing with it now, if it's on hiatus or just has a silent development process. I'd really like to see more from the game, as it's appearing to be a great fangame for the MFGG community. Feel free to talk about anything you've seen drop off the face of the forums, or as mentioned earlier, any place outside of MFGG. RE: Where Are They Now? - Shadow Administrator Drei - 10-09-2018 Spritey is busy with his job. RE: Where Are They Now? - VinnyVideo - 10-09-2018 @KirbyLover2048 Don't worry - I'm still planning to add more chapters, characters, and features (and bugfixes!) to MFGG Emblem. I just had to take a little break from development - I recently started a new job, and I also reached the point where certain backend mechanics need to be revamped in order for development to continue. If you'd like to sprite some things for the game, that would be awesome indeed! This post has some information that should help. I wonder how Spritey's game is doing, too - it looked pretty cool. RE: Where Are They Now? - Mariotroid - 10-10-2018 The real question is what happened to Super Mario Holidays. Havent bumped that in at least a year. Anyway, what I'm getting at is that games take time. You cant expect someone to be working on a game for 40 hours a week. Especially if said person is making a fangame. I work in spurts... I go hard on projects here n there then take months off. RE: Where Are They Now? - DustinVG - 10-10-2018 Pedigree won Best of Show VinnyVideo went on to open his own deluxe haberdashery Miles now runs a car dealership RE: Where Are They Now? - VinnyVideo - 10-10-2018 @Dustinvgmaster Silly Dustin - everyone knows I really became an offensive coordinator instead. |
