Yeah I often forget that the staff badges are even there. I think they need to match the style of the member bars and be separate from the badges, because right now they look like they could just be badges for an event and aren't very clear at letting members know who has what additional roles.

Yeah, the staff badges don't stand out very much at first glance

My problem isn't just that there's too many, it's that they are badge sprites for Paper Mario 1 & 2 with a few random customs thrown in.

Yes, cut down the number of badges but let's also make some more interesting, perhaps larger, custom svg badges.

In the future, maybe we don't need a badge for every event we put on. Perhaps look into offering some other prizes like mod of the PPP for a day (with a few restrictions ofc) LOL

Well, MFGG's badge system was created from the Paper Mario badge system, and it's extremely fitting for a Mario community like this. Paper Mario 64 and TTYD are all the badges we need, really. Also, these new badges are far sharper and overall better than the official Paper Mario 64 badges we used on the IPB forums so many years ago.

Here are our options at this point:
  1. Leave everything the way it is.
  2. Only have fangame/competition/award-related badges be visible on your profile. Everything else is either deleted or hidden inside your profile page.
  3. Have a BP system that lets you equip so many badges to show on your posts. BP is set in stone and the same for everyone, or can be increased by doing something.

I disagree with keeping the badges as they are purely for nostalgia's sake, I'm sorry.

It's like asking us to make the ezboard skin the default because that's how it was in the old days, even though it's ugly by today's standards.
