Link's Awakening was the first Zelda game I ever played, back when I was a very little kid! It holds a lot of great memories for me, and its graphics and sound are impressive, in spite of the Game Boy's technical limitations.

As you probably heard, Link's Awakening is getting a remake for the Switch! I'm really happy about this. For many years, I've wondered what a remake of Link's Awakening would look like. I was also a bit worried about how Nintendo would handle this, but I love the way it's looking so far. I'm wondering what bonuses they'll add to the original - new dungeons and so forth.

I don't mean to steal the thunder from Damarioman's topic - I just wanted a general topic about this game, since the other one focuses on the game's graphical style.

Despite my opinion on the visual style I'm probably going to get this game. The original was fun... and I just can't pass up a Zelda game.

I have a lot of history with this game. Despite growing up well into the era of the Xbox, I grew up with the classics, notably to this story, a Gameboy Colour. Link's Awakening was my first Zelda game. To this day, I'd have to say that just for sentimental purposes, it is my favourite Zelda game. I'm very excited to see the sights and hear the music. I hope it'll be a fantastic remake.

I'm 100% serious when I say that my opinion of this game is going to entirely hinge on whether or not they keep Wart/Mamu in.

It's kinda nice to have a new 2D Zelda game.

List of projects I eventually plan to finish after the indefinite hiatus is over, assuming I don't abruptly cancel them:
[+]Spoiler
Mario's Rather Unusual Trilogy (Mario's slightly unusual Boss Rush (Completed), Mario vs. Some Unusual Foes (In development), Mario's VERY Unusual Final Frontier (In development))
Sonic's Foray into Random/Unusual Zones (spin-off of Unusual Trilogy, in development)
Angry Birds Slingshot Frenzy (In development)
Super Mario Flashback: Really Good Edition (In development)
Super Hilda DX (In only conceptual phase)

Yes, I am aware that I have about 6 or so fangame projects currently in development at the same time. And yes, I am also aware that all of this is very ambitious.
+ List of projects I'm helping out with in some small capacity during my hiatus:

Super Mario Bros Dimensions 2 (as a spriter, only for Mario's sprites)
MFGG Community Fangame Project 3 (as a spriter)

The story was really nice and friendly, maybe they can expand on it, i would like that! Maybe make selecting items easier. And i'd enjoy this sort of remake on 2DS ...i don't think i'll ever get a Switch, so i might look for the original version of the game instead, it looks good enough to me.
