WIP The Winter Star (Super Mario RPG hack)

So this is the ROM hack I started for a Secret Santa recipient (Action Lemon) on the 16th of 2019. It wasn't finished before the event ended, so I am determined to finish before New Years 2020 (as to keep my promise to them). I'm trying to avoid as many spoilers as possible in this thread, so I'm just going to mention the story and post a few screen shots for HYPE.

Story
The player is a Piranha Plant that doesn't want to be a Piranha Plant. So it wishes upon a star to change itself into another shape.

To the Piranha Plant's surprise, a star descends from the sky and begins to talk to the Plant.

The star foretells of signs the Plant must look out for and bring back to the star to grant the Plant's desired wish.

The Plant goes on a search for these signs the star spoke of, determined to get their wish.

I am kind of on the fence about developing this thing? It's suppose to be a present but I'm kind of having fun developing it...

For one thing, I made a new theme for a dungeon that I really want to implement. I also added a new status ailment. Why?



I thought it would be cool.

Honestly I'm getting kind of carried away with this development. I keep adding things and scrapping others. Ugh! So hard to keep things simple.
