So yeah, looks like most things are in place now. I'm not happy with all the graphics, I might change the footer bar to blue instead of red, or change the red of the top bar outright because it's a tad garish as it is now. Maybe a few other things need changing and graphics need adding. I'd like to add a Mario Font like the other forum has but I don't know how to do that yet. Also changing "Post Reply" and so on to a graphic might be a good idea, or at least adding some kind of graphic to it to make this place feel a bit more "Mario".

Overall though I think it's scrubbed up pretty nicely and from what I can tell it's pretty mobile friendly. Feel free to add or change anything you see that doesn't look right.

I'd like to wrap this up as quickly as I can now so if there's any graphics, text or anything else that needs attention, let me know and post an image showing what needs changing or what you suggest and I'll see what I can do. Smile

Besides those few things, I think it's shaped up rather well. It may be entirely possible for not-Kritter people to fix those things, but I'm currently unsure how it works.

That home button needs replacing entirely, it's just something I haven't bothered to do yet. I'll probably make some kind of graphic and maybe even link it to the mainsite instead of the forums.

The badge area will more than likely look better once there are actually more than 1 or 2 badges in there, but yeah it's a bit iffy. Not sure on the best place for coins to be placed either.

Personally there are a few aspects about this skin that I'm not happy with I must admit. Looking at the Minus World skin, it condenses down much nicer when it's in a "mobile" view and aspects of the interface are a lot cleaner and nicer than the Emerald theme. Still, you work with that you have!

I made the Like button appear on the Emerald2 skin. You may want to tinker with the visuals of it (you could replace it with Mit's 1-Up Button).

I removed the star rankings from the postbits. Those are redundant when we already have member groups.

I'm not a huge fan of the five-star post ratings system. In my experience, they're rarely used, and I think the likes system is more effective at letting users decide how much they like a particular topic. If you want to keep it, though, we should replace the default star images with something more Mario-y. After all, we're a Mario fansite, and stars are high on the list of Mario's Favorite Things!

I might refine this to fit with the theme of the page.

As for the star ratings on threads, I can see that being abused or misused and I don't think we really need such a ratings system but it's not really up to me either.

Things keep messing up here though, sometimes images are showing, other times they're broken.

Yeah, I noticed. Not quite sure what the deal is there, though it seems mostly stable for me now.

I think the problem with images and videos not displaying properly was because of a bit of bad code in the thread auto-update plugin we were experimenting with. Please don't reactivate the "Auto Update Threads" plugin without checking with me first.

They're working for me. Doubt it'd be the cause, but have you tried clearing your browser data?

Argh I had "Display images in posts" disabled for some reason, but oddly enough there's no option that I can find to untick it. Had to do it manually in the admin panel. Still doesn't explain why it was working earlier today and then not working later when I never toggled the option.
