This is a continuation of a discussion on another thread that has come up numerous times in that thread. I'm creating this new topic in order to keep that user's topic from flooding with comments that don't necessarily help with the game's development. Let it be known that this isn't a place to bash that user or her game, this is just a discussion as to what is or is not allowed on MFGG and where the line is drawn regarding sexual content in games. If you have a problem with that game's content, it'd be better to discuss it here.
In case you don't know, there is a fan game being developed and showcased here on the forums that is centered around a sexual fetish. Just about every time the user makes a new post regarding her game, there is some sort of disagreement as to whether or not the game is appropriate for this site. Here is what the rules say on the matter:
I believe that the staff has been lenient on this project because it is not a common thing to be aroused by. In that topic I brought up that if I were to make a game featuring Princess Peach in skimpy clothing sucking on bananas it would certainly be shut down as a violation of the NSFW rule, specifically this section:
It has been made pretty clear by the creator of the game in question that it is a vorarephilia fetish game and that the game does intend to look suggestive, so it directly violates the rules even if less people are aroused by vore than they are by banana sucking.
I normally wouldn't make a topic like this, but the thought of children stumbling across a fetish game on a site that claims to be family friendly is disturbing. I found MFGG when I was 10 or 11, and I know others have found it at a younger age, and I don't think such material should be exposed to such young children.
Again, this isn't to bash the user or her game. If she wants to make it then of course she should be allowed to make it, but not on a site that welcomes children.
(I wasn't sure if this would qualify to go into the suggestions board, but if it does can it be moved?)

Quote: No NSFW MaterialThe rules state that no content not safe for work is allowed. This is not a very hard line, as you could argue that since there is no nudity in the game it would be safe for work; However, the rules also state that the website is meant to be family friendly. If that is the case, why is a game made explicitly for sexual arousal allowed? Is that not content that is best kept away from children?
Do not post text, images, or media of a pornographic or sexually explicit nature. Don't post content depicting extreme violence, or anything else that would be unsafe for work.
- If you must, please put it in a spoiler tag and give a clear warning, but keep its contents reasonable. This is supposed to be a family-friendly website.
- To clarify further and to define "reasonable": we will not allow anything that has intent to look suggestive or worse. Any media that features whether explicitly or outlined (showing through clothes) any form of "private areas" will not be permitted. Exceptions are granted to official game renders that cannot be reasonably argued to have non-family-friendly intentions.
