Agreed. I'd much prefer to read the banned user's posts, because from personal experience on other forums, some banned members contribute some interesting threads/posts that are enjoyable to read through before their bannable offense.

It's very rare that a member gets banned for longer than a few days.

Plus, this essentially renders the whole issue moot.
