I have to say that 2006 and 2007 were by far my favorite years on MFGG, and I have this nostalgic longing to restore the community back to that particular point in time. That's something I'd love to do; have all the old MFGGers from the IPB era come back.

I totally feel you there. I keep hoping there will be some weird resurgence where everyone gets nostalgic and comes back to form some new activity where we keep in touch, or post here and there, but in reality the best thing to do about this kind of nostalgia is search for or create new forms of community. I tend to long for the 2003-2006 eras the most because I miss having a hyper creative community of weirdness, snark, personality and nerdy but goofy culture. I wonder where to find a new modern form of that with the same level of spark.

Btw super cool to see you General Guy! It's been so long. I had no idea that backup existed. Got suuuper lost exploring the past on there last night. Sadly don't even think I have Dodge the Shyguys 2; the game was terrible but it'd be fun to see it again, so I'd love to snag a download sometime.
