I can't really pick a coherent favorite but here are a few games I like in no particular order (except probably aphabetically.)

Breath of Fire 1 and 2
Kirby Super Star / Ultra
Seiken Densetsu III (still not used to calling it "Trials of Mana")
Sonic Mania
most Tales of games up to Vesperia

I haven't kept up with new games that much and haven't enjoyed them due to the whole "crippling depression" thing, except Sonic Mania. Fantastic.
