With fangames these days we usually get either some different twist on the usual Mario formula, or concepts you'd see in different games applied to the Mario universe. Landborne is different, in the sense that it seems to be a completely “fresh†concept, not unlike what you'd see in a lot of Flash games back in the day.
It's definitely not for everyone, but it's the kind of game most people would get something out of regardless, and is highly recommended!
