Online Functionality for Wii U & 3DS Discontinuing Soon

Do I need to use the internet to mod my 3DS?

when installing CFW onto it and other stuff, yeah

I never actually had a Wii U or 3DS, believe it or not, but it's still a bummer to see these closing. Maybe I should pick up a used 3DS so I can do online things while I still can.

I wonder how many people are still actually using online functionality on these, especially for the Wii U. (I have a feeling it's not a massive number.)

i found a decent number of players on smash 4 (3ds) on for glory a good few months back. crazy that it's still getting played, which is cool :]
