I discovered that, yeah, Half-Life 1 has full controller support now, or at least a built-in Steam Input profile. It feels very nice to be able to plug my Xbox controller in and play without much remapping, and I managed to get it to let me use the D-pad to move around in addition to the left stick. With a little doing, you can even set up a controller to work with the Hammer Editor that comes with Half-Life 1's SDK, which can be useful to move around the map you're making.
I also have been playing TF2. It's that time of year. Around the time when the Halloween update hits and I get to play Ghost Fort again to kick Merasmus's ass. TF2 is a game that's been around since I was in high school, and it belongs in the same breath as Doom and Quake for me.
Also, I started playing Mega Man 3 on NES again the other day. I prefer 2 and 5, but if you pick a Mega Man game I probably like it no matter which one it is. I finally have all the quest items: an Everdrive, a SDTV, and an OEM NES that isn't my goofy clone console, so now it looks like it did when I was growing up.
