I grew up with Nintendo consoles, so Mario has more nostalgia value for me, and I prefer Mario gameplay over Sonic gameplay. I can still appreciate the speedy blue hedgehog, though!

(I should play more of his games.)

Keep in mind that Mario came from an era where video games at most had a story of "save the princess" or "defeat this villain." Sonic, on the other hand, came about long after those basic storylines were first set, and thus games gained more depth.

Keep in mind that Mario came from an era where video games at most had a story of "save the princess" or "defeat this villain." Sonic, on the other hand, came about long after those basic storylines were first set, and thus games gained more depth.

The sonic games are not so colourful with a generic story, Mario also has a generic story but at least it has colours that are so bright that i can't fall asleep, Remember Crush the castle? that had a bland colour spectrum, as for Angry birds that has colourful visuals

For how many excuses you constantly keep making up, you're actually avoiding the point of what made Sonic terrible, in general. What is it that you're proving exactly? That Mario has a better enlightenment of visuals than Sonic himself? Besides, I don't seem to get the point of what you're exactly trying to aim at.
