Now, please report and bugs, request any changes and/or additions, and other stuff so the game would release it's first non-feedback demo without major bugs.

It's not a virus, maybe the Firefox is thinking it's one.

Strange I am not getting any virus report on my Chrome (I should switch to Opera but I have to give my thanks to baby Duck Syndrome)

Anyways I played the demo for a little bit. I like how you're trying to capture SMB styled physics. Here are a list of bug I can get from the back of my mind:
- Stairs inside the castle are hard to use if you're trying to go down the stairs with a solid-top platform on the top
- Jumping noises when you press the jump button during the level start preview (whatever you call it)
- The collision mask is taller than the Mario sprite
- Sometimes bumping a brick/? block may not work depends on the position of the player
- If you kick the Koopa shell right next to a wall, it will hurt/kill the player immediately after the shell bounces around the wall
- Some of the blocks in the first SMB-ish level (especially the bricks) have very poor contrast against the background

Is it flagging when you download it, or when it's downloaded? Me and JC tested this and there was no flagging.

I played through some of it and its really fun. Here are some issues I noticed, without repeating Hypernova:
- In 1-3, the wind changes really quickly which caused a pretty unfair death
- In 1-3, the sand is impossible to get out of once you fall in (from what I can tell). If it's supposed to be impossible to get out of, I'd make it impossible to prolong the death so it doesn't seem like there is a way to get out of it.
- In 1-3, I got stuck in a jump after landing on a platform when the wind was blowing.
- Mario can get stuck in the Super Mario World spinning blocks if he is in front of it when it stops spinning.

Alright played through the demo, here are a few bugs and issues I found (that others have not stated yet):
- The minigame room camera can scroll way to far right, when talking to toad the camera is panned to the right and it's not possible to read all of the text on the menu (the camera either needs to not be able to go that far right, or focus on the menu when you open it up)
- Dieing in a minigame sends you to the last regular level painting you entered (or the main lobby of the castle if you haven't entered a stage on your current session yet), rather then having you exit back into the minigame room
- You can walk off the left side of the screen at the beginning of stages, Mario will fall infinitely and never die, forcing the user to restart the game to exit. There should probably be a barrier on the edges of the levels.
- The second "skin" for classic Mario seems to be missing walking animations when he is in his small form. He will continue using the last animation used rather than a walk animation
- Coins dropped by enemies killed by fireballs keep their horizontal momentum, I'm unsure if this is intended or not.
- Mario can get stuck in his jump animation sometimes when jumping through platforms that can be entered from below. You will be unable to jump until you fall onto lower ground.
- It is difficult to jump out of water and quicksand
- powerups (or at least mushrooms), seem to spaz out for a frame before they come out of a block
- Skidding noises can be heard while pressing the arrow keys right and left during the title card
- You can open up doors in the castle more than once and it makes the new room reload for each time you opened the door
- The minigame room menu seems to stay open after you open it up for the first time
- The pause menu buttons don't seem to be selectable, although maybe you just aren't done working on the pause menu yet.
- This is pretty minor, but there were a few typos in the readme document

Also some other minor gripes I had:
- Add an ability to skip the opening splash screens, they are fairly lengthy to wait through when starting up the game
- Add the ability to change the controls, the default controls felt very awkward for me to use
- If possible in Construct, add the ability to change volume settings in game, the default volume seemed quite loud to me.


I did have fun with the game, but these issues did detract from the experience (especially from the wind and sand in 1-3, I kept falling into the sand when the wind changed directions, even when I knew it was going to change). By the way, is Modern Mario playable in this Demo? I could only seem to be able to play as Classic Mario in the Demo, I couldn't find anyway to switch between the two.

So I done goofed and had to make a new version of the game.
In a nutshell I didn't check the keyboard mapping correctly. And also I forgot to update the Title Screen and also updating the Options menu.

The last few days have been pretty busy with work and "Real Life" issues, but I finally got a chance to play the latest demo. You might have updated these issues since then, but here are some things I noticed while playing the March 6 build:

Hub Level
  • Mario should stop moving when he opens a door.
  • You should add a sound effect when you enter a painting.

World 1-1
  • The pipes in the background look very similar to the pipes in the foreground. Consider making the background pipes smaller or a paler shade of green.
  • I'd suggest playing a sound when the Venus Firetrap spits a fireball - these fireballs are pretty fast.

World 1-2
  • Super Mario seems to be missing a sprite when he jumps out of the water.
  • The blind jump isn't good level design, especially if this is supposed to be the second level in the game. I lost a few lives on that section.

World 1-3
  • If you run to the left edge of the screen, you'll get stuck because of the wind.
  • The music should stop playing as soon as you hit the goal.

All Levels
  • Why are Piranha Plants resistant to fireballs?
  • You might want to play a sound when an enemy is defeated using a fireball.

Thanks to @lean, the game's graphics will now be given contrast.
