POLL: What theme would you rather (Finished: Draw: they are now on main site)

I've had idea to make these as backgrounds for awhile now and I'd like to see which one you'd rather. Both are rather flat areas (useful for SMB 4-1 inspired levels)and I'm planning to use a SMAllstars theme for it, I might also add more themes in future, if I can think of any more that have little to no representation in fan works.

Here's a salt flat in Utah, I might also make one that's transparent and/or has salt mounds, looking them up should give you a good idea.
For the farm/peatland theme, My idea is something like this, less vegetation for a peat harvest

Both sound cool but I think a farm themed background would be really awesome. I don't think I've seen one of those done before for Mario and I can see someone making a really cool farm themed level that uses the animals and crops and other farm stuff in a really fun way if given the assets to do so.

We've had very few farm-themed levels in Mario games (both official games and fangames), and it would be nice to have more farm-themed resources. On the other, a salt flat background could be quite visually striking.

You can pick both. I do feel a salt flat background would work if it was made as by a better pixel artist.

You want both, I ended up making both. I didn't even intend to do this at first, but I was bored so I made tilesets and backgrounds for each.
