In my server someone has reported that glitch before. Not really sure why that happens as the code that is written for it looks perfectly fine.

As for that Castle Maze, you may need to look up a playthrough on how to get past that section. The way to get past it is a bit jaunty at first.

Hey Guys!

An important update regarding the game has now been released, bumping the game's version up to 0.6.1!

This update entails new refurbished levels for World 9, as well as an update to the DMG Screen, now being called the Progress Menu.
The style of the menu is now more akin to the Quest Status from Super Mario Advance 2. Along with that comes a newly programmed Character Select, and a new boss battle AI
for the Mega Goomba in the tutorial level of Here We Go!

If you're currently playing the game, it is imperative for you to get this update, since it fixes quite a lot of common problems a person playing the game faces. It may also help you that the game has received a bit of optimization
since then.

Hello, I'm new to the forum, sorry for the inconvenience, can someone tell me how to play with "Peach", "Wario", etc. I think it's changing something in the game in the installation folders but I can't. Excuse my English but I only speak Spanish and I have a disability in my arms. Thank you all.

Has been released! Version 0.8 covers World 7, and revamps a lot of old content within earlier worlds of the game, including world bosses, certain bosses, sections within a few levels, and revamps the Two-Player Mode to be well, more Two-Player! Players' lives count is now separate, and they can share lives in the same way as Super Mario World.

I don't want to explain everything in grave detail, but if you want to download, just read the README. Thank you in advance!

I had the pleasure of viewing quite a bit of the gameplay of Super Mario All-Star Attack on Youtube. I can't give you enough compliments as to the work you have done. May I ask a few questions?

1. Did you develop this game alone? I would be quite dumbfounded if you said yes. Each level in your game seems to be twice the length of the a typical Mario stage. The castles are massive!
2. How long did it take you to develop this game? How many person-hours per week did you have to devote?
3. Did you code the game engine yourself or did you download a custom Super Mario Maker studio?
4. Where did you get all those wonderful graphics from?

I might have far more questions for you in the future. Once again, the work looks great! I hope I can download and play myself one day when I have more free time.

Whoa, I'm shocked somebody's asking me questions in this old thread. Just... whoa. Um.

This game's been in development for a very long time. I've programmed an ENORMOUS amount of the game's framework in a programming application. Lol, Super Mario Maker wasn't even a thing when this game was being worked on...
No one who has worked on this project are keeping tabs on how long they've worked on the project. My educated guess is over 10,000 hours. I mean this project has been in development for over 12 years so, you do the math there.
A lot of the game's early development cycles had long levels since we were more inspired by the level lengths of Wario Land 4, Yoshi's Island, and Mushroom Kingdom Fusion.
After 2016, a lot of people who used to work on the project have long departed, including the original concept person named ~CaMtEnDo~, now called UmJammerCammy. I decided to take the project entirely into my own hands a little over 3 years ago.

This project was supposed to be dead. I revived it because I put so much darn effort into this game as well as the other people who used to work on it.
A lot of the wonderful graphics were developed by KarateCat, UmJammerCammy, Neweegee, Geoshi, GamePixel, and several artists on the MFGG forums, TSR, SMWCentral, and other places. However I'm the one who has made or edited 95% of all the custom backgrounds you'll see in the game, so I'm very much a pixel artist.

Thanks for asking, but it's probable you may not hear from me on the forums. Just go in the Discord server next time. Laughing

Man, I thought that I was going crazy. I less than halfway done with my first Mario game. It has taken me 2 years to build 37 stages and 4 years to build the game engine. Sick

Now, I would like to ask expand on the first question. You said you programmed the game engine yourself. What language did you use? C++? Basic? Confused
Also, did you use any special studio package like Direct X? Thinking

Finally, how can I find you on Discord? I just made a Discord account but can't find you at all.

Hello! i love the game you made, and since i saw that we could do our own "respriting", i wanted to try to do it with me and my friend. I had one small problem. Once i was "almost" finished with most of the sprite, i tried to play with the new sprite i did for luigi, and every character sprite had a weird black screen around it, but the items sprite were good. Is there any reason why it happened? other than that, it work amazingly! thank you for doing such a magnificent game! Big Grin

Honestly, I'm not here to answer any problems one may have with trying to set up skins for the game, as doing that may incur a need to explain Game Maker's sprite strip management, along with knowing how to replace sprites in a strip to create skins.
You should do some research on how Game Maker handles sprite strips, as well as color transparency, so you'll no longer deal with your problem.

Just press F1 to enter the game information tab. If pressing F1 doesn't work, then combine the Fn (Function) key with F1. It shows all of the keyboard controls in the game,
including F4, the button required to change the resolution.
