I wasn't active on MFGG during The Face's peak of popularity, but I remember hearing about him (on the Wiki and elsewhere). I may have encountered a similar scream-y thing before I discovered MFGG, but I can't say with certainty.

The really weird thing is, "mfgg the face" is an actual search suggestion in google.

Was it really that famous?

I saw the face in a TF2 zombie map (specially zf_dustbowl) and I think a Sven Coop map. It was seared into my soul.

this was a /really/ bad user. if for not were a ban they would of made mfgg been destroy and nobody could make fangames ever again. we should be happy their gone

The face was a pretty cool guy. Like METROID, he didn' take crap from nobody and destroys bad guys.

Comparing "the Face" to Samus Aran is not good of a comparison, since Samus saves the world from aliens (i think, i don't know much about the Metroid series), and "the Face" scared and scarred so many MFGGers with it's jumpscare.

@jas There's still a word filter, but it's not as long as it used to be. The current iteration doesn't have any organs or variants of George W. Bush's vice president.

we've graduated to preteens, yay! only took 18 years.

MFGG is a developmentally delayed child
