While I really like the old MFGG site designs, I still think Kritter's design looked rather great.
Mors' design also looks nice, I like the blues. I don't think the red wavy parts at the sides is really necessary, and I'm not so sure about the yellows. I do understand that this is a WIP, though, so I might change my mind once more progress is made.
If there's anything that I think the new MFGG site design should have, it's accessibility, reliability, and personality. It should be easy to use, with navigation never feeling like a claustrophobic nightmare. The site should be very stable and not easy to crash, with as few bugs as possible. Personality doesn't have as much priority as the former two, but I'd really like to see some fun details. I feel like that as long as they aren't ugly or distracting, being in MFGG would feel like a lot more fun with some life in the design. I'm not really a fan of how some sites look today, and while MFGG can have some simplicity in the new design, I don't think it should get to the point of looking boring.
I do think the MFGG site design used in 2006-2018 covers the three points I mentioned nicely, even if it may look a bit outdated today and has a few flaws (the average review scores is sometimes miscalculated and sorting by last update seems to have been broken at some point, to name a couple). I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll all come up with for the new design, though!
