Howdy fellow MFGGers.

Here I am announcing a brand new competition in which you have to design an outstanding level with the tool we choose out, for this brand new competition we chose Super Mario Bros. X2 as the tool for it.

You must create a level with it and when the submission period is over, we'll have some people judging the levels. Once the judges are done playing the levels, we will announce the winner.

As usual, whoever wins the competition has the choice to select the theme for the next level design competition(*)

Submissions can be posted here or at our Discord in the channel we will create specifically for it. Deadline for this competition is March 11th 2024 at 3:00 AM EST

the objective here is to beat three trials of the castle in one row, however there are secrets as well, can you find them? or better, can you beat the castle of trials?
(I will say this is a hard level, so beware)

After lots of working and testing, I finally managed to finish my entry (albeit with a few rough patches here and there).

I got inspired after playing the older Ys games, to make a Darm Tower level in smbx2

There are 2 small secret challenge rooms you can uncover. I wanted to originally make 25 short floors, similar to the original game, but due to smbx2's block limit, i had to limit myself to 4 more filled floors. Hope the level's enjoyable Big Grin

Be sure to familiarize yourself with link's moveset, you'll need it to navigate certain sections safely.

Ten years ago, I played the most underrated Super Mario title. Ten years later, I am so proud it's gotten the recognition it deserves.
In collaboration with Saltlord, we both took turns making each room.
