Popple's Mansion Heist ![]() ![]() ![]() Not quite as good as I'd hoped to make it, but hey, it's still something. Might do an expanded version, or a sequel, or an original game with a similar idea. Who knows.

@Roo Your game was a lot of fun! I would be all in favor of seeing an expansion, a sequel, or an indie project inspired by this.
One nitpick: I feel like the hitboxes are a little too small on the small levers. (They're fine on the big levers though.) Course clear! You got a card.

Mario - Cake Attack!! Controls (can be changed from the options menu in game): -arrow keys: move mario right and left, enter/exit crawl mode, and look up -x key: jump -z key: hold to run -p key: pause/unpause Game includes 2 ost modes: SC88 and BS (bandstand). The engine is a custom one built from the ground up in sdl2 with custom assets. also, the game is very very hard, the level designs aren't the best and are unfair at times. the main mechanic is lookout mode, where peach wakes up to surveil the castle for any signs of mario. it is indicated to by the blue tint fading out gradually. once it begins, a yellow light is emitted, and it travels throughout the room back and forth. enter crawl mode and you should be safe when the light hits mario. if you aren't in crawl mode, mario will die and loose a life. you have 5 lives to complete 4 levels each composing of 2 rooms. couldn't add all the levels i wanted to, but i think what is here should keep you busy for a few minutes. hope you guys enjoy it! I just noticed that I forgot to remove the debug function for the d key (it kills you). Refrain from using that key when remapping the controls. I'll patch it up after the competition.
