People say that Nintendo uses GCN as the acronym for the Nintendo GameCube, when it should be NGC. They say that it might be to avoid any legal trouble with the National Geographic Channel, but what if NGC was used for the Nintendo GameCube, while another Nintendo console used GCN as its acronym? Maybe the latter got scrapped, then Nintendo mixed up the acronyms, and they never noticed?

Etymologically, the word for "cartoon" comes from the same root as the word "carton." The original word has nothing to do with cars. You added the hyphen.

How do I know this? This is one of the mysteries of life.
