I appreciate that you guys addressed the toxic reaction, but part of the problem is that this thread had to be made before you would do anything about it in the first place. Staff members were defending the behavior on the site before this thread was created.

You sure? Because it looked like staff already handled things on the Discord, before this thread was made.

If you want people to be less argumentative, perhaps take the time to listen to their concerns more without fighting so hard not to address feedback from or try to own people you just don't like.

But everything was already addressed. People got to say what they wanted, staff admitted to wrongdoing and took steps to fix it. I don't see what the issue is.

Stir really should be less toxic towards you, but not everyone that has a concern about this issue is Stir and it would be great if you would stop just lumping everyone that isn't on your side in an issue with them.

No, people showing up only to argue, provoke and insult whenever things happen that they don't like is a huge part of the problem. If people could bring these issues up in a better way then there would've been no issue. This isn't an issue that only I had, mind you.

The issue has been resolved at this point for a long time now, so this is the last thing I plan on saying here.

You guys get mad when staff refuses to listen to your criticism (we do listen to it, even if the results aren't always 100% to your liking), yet when we critique the way in which you provide criticism you all get defensive, refuse to listen, and start telling us that we are the problem with MFGG. Interesting. Not to mention we only have explosions like this when you're here being asses. Also interesting.

And Pedigree, anyone is welcome to join the community and partake in our events. You included. Our problem with you is that you give feedback then when we disagree you get defensive and twist our words into meaning something completely different, and you pick apart our every phrase to find something to be upset about. We want you to join the community events and have fun making fan games. That doesn't mean we will put up with you trying to turn us into villains, whether you do it intentionally or not.

I genuinely enjoy talking to all of you about video games, but when we start being drama queens about MFGG things get unbearable. Just relax, say your opinion, and remember that this is just a Mario site. It's not as intense as you're making it seem.

i was pretty clear at the start of this that i think the game blows chunks. and i stated that i don't really care what your scores are if you aren't abusing the idea of scoring to harass someone.

the issue dragged out because people kept repeating the same stuff and the very people who abused the system continued to defend it and not understand that the very act of doing that is itself destroying of the trust in your review, as well as everyone continuing to comment:

"hello can take it"
"i'm sure hello is fine"
"its not like hello listens"

if you continue to validate the exact actions you had to act on or revmoe and complain about the people who brought the problem to attention as a problem, you aren't fixing what's wrong. you're putting a band-aid on to shut people up when you get called out.

i don't care if you think a 1/10 is appropriate. i think it is disingenuous from mors and others, as well as overall intellectually weak. i care that the claims of hello trolling are still on reviews and defended by people. i care that the attitude is not "okay, maybe we shouldn't attack people" but instead "we already removed a few comments; what do you want!" i care that some staff can just be obtrusive in the matter and continue to demean people who have a problem and talk about it.

When I first became a staff I was trying to make everyone happy, or rather find a happy medium so everyone could happy, so we wouldn't have so much drama. It took me a while to realize that this is pretty much impossible. No matter what we do some people will complain. So I'm trying to focus on the needs and requests of the active userbase, instead of trying to cater to pretty much everyone and make no one happy as a result.

That being said, we can't just ban discussions like this. In the end it's criticism on us. It doesn't matter if we think it's pointless or done for the sake of it, silencing it would just make the things worse.

To give Ped credit, we cleaned up the comments on the main site after they started to complain, but I've been telling people to be respectful on Discord ever since the game came out lol, and the cleanup probably would've happened regardless.

As for Sooshy, nothing is stopping you from having fun. This thread is very easy to ignore. Instead of coming in to preach that people should just shut up for the sake of your entertainment, you could just as easily just stay out of it yourself. There is nothing forcing you to read the thread.

It's not just the staff, sooshy isn't a staff member, Vert isn't a staff member for sure, and last time I checked Coco was also not a staff member anymore. It's not just me complaining here lol, a lot of the actual active userbase is sick of this too.

You and your a few friends who only come here to argue once a blue moon aren't the only members of MFGG.

Then, I saw a thread about it pop up AFTER the problem was resolved. I had to see what stupid s*** was going down next. I think you're misinterpreting me saying 'I just wanna have fun on this site' as to saying MFGG is only for my... entertainment? I just came here to enjoy the community, make friends, and contribute to the fangame scene.

I agree with everything EYT said. He has a lot of similar points to what I think. This doesn't need to be so intense, and I'm sorry for being angry. But hopefully you all can try to understand how I feel, and if you don't that's OK.

For the record I don't just come here to post my criticism. I just haven't had any fangames to post since July of last year. Think what you want and mischaracterize my involvement here however you want, it makes no difference.
