here's the thread mentioned in the OP, it is over a year old at this point: https://forums.mfgg.net/showthread.php?tid=2396.
That thread is, surprising tame for all the hype about it in the OP.
I think in that particular example, the answer is pretty simple. Minus World users who have been part of MFGG have seen the same old constant endless shitting on Hello for over a decade. It's sad there aren't many people who speak up about it and more sadly many people just want to jump on that bandwagon so they can feel like at least _their_ games are better, even if they haven't even released a game.
And really I think any example you'd come up with would be in the same two categories:
- It's over a year old.
- Minus World members have Seen some s*** and think its worth speaking up about.
And then there's always staff members who want to turn these things into fights for whatever reason- I guess the place must be pretty dull for them or something. I dunno; it's not gonna make a practical difference if you ignore what people are saying implicitly or explicitly, other than having a big fight thread or not.
EDIT: I realized your question might even be more simple. The reason why you see the usual suspects show up in a thread and contribute to it at the same time is really simple, people share links to threads to check them out and some people get inspired to post and contribute- usually the same people. I'm not a fan of Every poster either, but it's pretty normal; does MFGG discord not do that kind of thing? Really interesting cultural difference if so
""We choose to go to the [Suggestions board] not because it's easy, but because it's hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win."
